Cherry, (Charity Amy Murphy) is a Reiki & Seichiem Master whose primary focus is on matters of Higher Consciousness, Personal Power, Soul Development, Spiritual Healing and Metaphysical Reality. She holds a Master Degree in Film Studies and a Bachelor of Social Science and Politics Degree from University College Dublin, Ireland.
With a background in Social Care, Youth Work and Crisis Intervention she has worked with at risk youth, teaching, caring and empowering them to manage and transcend crisis
situations by learning emotional, social and behavioral
developmental life skills.
In her work as a therapeutic Social Care Practitioner and her background with disadvantaged youth in Ireland and Brazil, Cherry learned the tools of empathic counseling and as such comes to her work from a place of love and deep understanding. ‘It is always about empowering the individual to be their own best teacher and friend, to learn to love themselves, to forgive, and in doing so, heal’.
Cherry has written and produced TV programming on 'At Risk Youth' for Boston Current Affairs show ‘Mosaic’ and has guest edited an issue 'Is Childhood Dead' for Comhlamh Magazine an Irish Overseas Development publication.
Cherry's next passion to her therapeutic work is her passion for film and creative arts and it has been her pleasure to work with such talented and inspiring Writers / Directors over the last few years. These include working as Assistant Director on Ivan Kavanagh's last two feature films 'Our Wonderful Home' (Ripple World Pictures) & 'The Fading Light' (Park Films), Assistant Producer for Manus McManus's Short Film 'Thursday Afternoon' winner in this years Best New Short category at the Galway Film Fleadh 2009. and most recently, Assistant Director for Writer / Director Colin Downey's 'The Looking Glass' (EMU Productions)
Cherry is currently offering one to one healing and running spiritual and personal development courses for adults and teenagers through her 'Living in Soul' Series. It is her intention to help people reach their full potential and bring healing, awareness and spiritual development into their lives, and to offer support and council to those on their journey.
